Lasso the day    It's suddenly August

& hot     The children roll down

the drought hill       We splash

a pool    loose hair    I mean

hair worn loosely and short

I am tired    stirred like a cup

No      I come in streaks   The street

cleaners come   I hate them

it's not their fault and while

not tall        I have a tall soul

and pick crap from the carpet

Hope on      We will lose another

newspaper but hopefully

not more creatures
